One small but important step forward
I'm breaking my long non-posting streak to bring y'all news of a very cool editor hack that shows a lot of promise.

A post on Romain Guy's blog shows a prototype of an editor with an important extra feature: it can show images inline with code.



I have wanted something like this for a long time... for the visual thinkers among us, it would be really great to include a diagram as an illustration of a sub-system's architecture. Cool cool cool!

General note:

My posting on averagejackal was curtailed because of the arrival of my amazing, wonderful daughter. Now that the smoke has cleared somewhat, I plan to resume posting on a more regular basis. I will probably broaden the scope of my writings a bit, as one of my overall goals is to come up with ways to improve the expressiveness of code. So here's to more posts....
